Doug Herd

Hometown: Weatherford, Texas

Doug Herd is an All-American, Texas born and bred racer chasing the ultimate dream. After a late start to his driving career, Doug scored his first career win and became the 1988 track champion at Crandall Speedway. Over the next 15 years, the Weatherford, Texas native worked as a Crew Chief & Crew Member while still competing at various tracks around his home state in the Modified, Outlaw and “Hot Stocks” Divisions. In January of 2020, Doug participated in the ARCA Menards Series annual Winter Test at Daytona International Speedway in order to receive approval to compete in the Series.

Beginning in 2022, Doug will be participating in select ARCA Menards Series events with the hope of advancing to Full-Time status and eventually graduating into the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
